Discovery Experience #11
I worked with LibraryThing about a month ago. I was involved in a project for basic skills-organization of materials class. I entered my boyfriends DVD movie collection into LibraryThing and tagged the movies with categories like action, comedy and sci-fi. It will be nice to have a tagged list so he can share his collection with his friends.
Discovery Experience #7
The RSS feeds has been a bit difficult for me to figure out. I keep on going back to read about it. I have set up some feeds in my blogger account that will be helpful when searching for my specific needs and interests.

Discovery Experience #7
I am having a difficult time figuring out how to get to my account for blogging. I wanted to edit and Laura Johnson helped me figure out the difference between where I set up my blogger account and my actual place to edit. Now I have to figure out how to make comments and I will accomplish that too! Navigating between places has been a challenge at times!
Discovery Exercise #22
I created a Meebo account. I sent a message to the Ask A Librarian web site and I had a response.
Discovery Exercise #21
I added the Lincoln Journal Star podcast to my RSS feeds on my Blogline account.

My favorite fun discoveries on Learning 2.0 are OneSentence.com and the generator that changes hair styles.
I had a difficult time with a couple of the exercies. I found myself going back to previous exercises to review so I could accomplish tasks in other exercises.
The Help Team were great whenever I asked them questions and when I needed advise. I am more of a hands on learner, so maybe if some of the exercises were presented in a classroom activity I may not of struggled on a couple of the exercises.
I did enjoy learning new "things" on the computer and I hope I can be a part of other learning experiences in the future. I can see the need for education in the web world. So much more can be done to spread knowledge in our world utilizing what is availabe on the Internet.
It may be difficult for you to follow my blogs as I really got mixed up a couple of times and had to go back and forth several times and edit. I have my blogs recorded under 2 titles, Love to Learn and Like to Learn.

Discovery Experience #20
The title "Who I Am Makes A Difference Movie" appealed to me right off the bat. I had visited the YouTube web site a couple of times before when friends directed me toward it to see a specific video they recommended. This video was very moving to me and brought a tear to my eye. It made me think and I wondered how many other web surfers had watched it.
I think a short story like the video I watched on YouTube is a good tool to express a message or idea. Seeing and hearing is a good communication tool and I think it can be just as important as reading a book. I think incorporating this YouTube concept in library sites could prove to be a very successful tool in information distribution and updating.

Discovery Experience #18
I created an account in Zoho Writer. I created a document. I think this is a great tool. If you have the Internet you don't have to purchase expensive software to accomplish tasks you may not be able to perform without proper software. I think it's great!!
Discovery Experience #12
I created a rollyo called My Backyard Garden with 3 web sites to search for garden ideas at my home.
Discovery #8
I spent a lot of time working on this "thing." I wasn't satisfied with my progress so I'm going to revisit this "thing" later.
Well I came back and it makes more sense now. I figured out that I will see my feed in the http://www.blogger.com/ account.

I think wikis are a great way of sharing book titles for people who like to read. I looked at the Book Lovers Wiki.
The wiki is a good tool to use after a group of people have been together at a meeting, conference or seminar. They can continue to share ideas and experiences related to the meeting.

Discovery Experience #17
I was surprised that Wikipedia's users may do many things to change whenever they wish.
Discovery Experience #15
One of the articles I read was "Away from the 'icebergs.' The definition of "library" has really changed to encourage learning for all. Technology and different ways to achieve good customer service attitudes has made the library an inviting place for me to capture the information I need and want.
